While I cannot disagree with you, I also have to note that this is essentially the same message transmitted by von Clausewitz in his book on education.
One of the false advantages of organization is that it permits something to be done in an aeconomic fashion. For corporations that make stuff, this means ignoring the costs of sustainability and environment. For governments it means ignoring the pricing of the marketplace with respect to the salaries of government employees (e.g.) Thus the salaries of politicials can be greater than they would obtain in a free economy while the salaries of non-politicals can be much lower.
