Welcome to EducatedNation.com, your home for an independent, intelligent and insightful look at colleges, universities and higher education.

We offer a range well-written and smartly argued commentary from a variety of viewpoints. In a world saturated with information, where readers can make their own judgments and come to their own conclusions, Educated Nation won't tell you what to think or why to think it. Instead, we offer clarity, good-sense and great writing about what matters most.

Who We Are

Educated Nation consists of two writers. The roster includes:

From Seattle,Alexa Harrington shares her thoughts about work, college, what happens after college, career school and what happens when you change directions in life.

Privacy

If you have signed up for our email alerts, we will not resell your address to any third party. And we will not use it for sales or promotional purposes. We may, however, contact you via our regular newsletter with important information about the site. If you would prefer not to receive those updates, please let us know.

Corrections Policy

If you have a complaint or comment to make about something you've read on the site, please direct it to the individual writer. If you would like to keep your correspondence private, please alert the writer to that fact but remember that writers are encouraged to print email to give as much voice to criticism and comments as possible to readers who are kind enough to give their time and attention. Mail may be summarized and edited for clarity and length.

If you find a factual error, please tell us as soon as possible so that we can make the appropriate corrections quickly. To make corrections, we strike through the error as it first appeared and link or point the reader to the restated, correct facts. This can be in the entry itself or in a separate post, whichever makes it most clear to the reader that an error has been discovered. Here is one example of how this policy works. Here's another.

Disagreements about interpretation and emphasis, however, are just that and will be treated as such. For that reason, we encourage correspondence between readers and writers. If, however, you don't feel your comments have been adequately addressed by the writer, please contact educatednation.com editor Marika Francisco.

Writing Opportunities

We are constantly on the hunt for new writers and new voices to add to our site.

If you think you've got what it takes, send an email with pointers to stuff you've written or sites where you regularly comment to WriteFor[at]educatednation.com.
