Good article. As a college student I sometimes find myself not asking for help when I know I should. I think we get somewhat scared for no reason.

Similar experience, reverse conditions. I was told by teachers I had to take the SAT and ACT tests to apply for college but it was portrayed to me as nothing more than a formality, a ticket punch as it were. The most onerous parts of the experiences, which were only a couple of weeks apart, were getting pencils (I am a mechanical pencil guy,) and being cool for a hour or so after I finished the test and had checked it thrice. My little bubble of complacency got shattered a few weeks later when the scores came in and I found out how important they were from the frantic kids.

In my personal experience, it is FAR easier to go from math/science to the humanities than the other way around. Many people fear that students will never be able to do any humanities with the STEM program, but if they don't have the building blocks of science/math early on, they may never get them.

Im impressed, I need to say. Quite hardly ever do I come across a weblog thats both informative and entertaining, and let me let you know, youve hit the nail on the head. Your weblog is vital; the concern is something that not adequate people today are talking intelligently about. Im truly pleased that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this issue.
